Listed are the benefits of incorporating cardiovascular exercises to your daily routine:

1. Strengthens your heart

2. Lowers your resting heart rate

3. Lowers your stress levels

4. Boosts your metabolism and positive moods

5. Sleep better in the evening

Since living a sedentary lifestyle is one of the major contributing factors to cardiovascular disease, it is ideal to develop a routine that focuses on elevating your exercise heart rate at least twice a week, 30 minute sessions.

Once the body builds tolerance to this routine you may add either additional days or time to the routine which will increase the work load, thus burning more calories and body fat. This will aide in decreasing CAD significantly more. Here's additional benefits when you increase cardio to your routine:

1. Reduction in body weight

2. Lower blood pressure

3. Lower LDL (bad) cholesterol

4. Increase HDL (good) cholesterol

Exercise when done in a moderate level, is considered safe. But like all activities that increases heart rate while you have risks, consult with your primary physician to make sure you are cleared to exercise. Make sure to incorporate a well balanced nutrition plan that is rich in vegetables, lean proteins and complex carbohydrates, while you limit red meats and processed sugars. Add your cardio routine in this mixture and you are GOLDEN.
